The coins that the unit mines are MXC, IPFS, DHX which is premined (datahighway.com) and BTC, however bitcoin has been temporarily ceased to review the beta test results.

The M2 Pro miner is unlike the HNT hotspot miner which uses Proof of Coverage which requires HNT miners to witness each other in terms of building and securing the mesh network of HNT hotspots. However, the M2 Pro Miner only requires Proof of Participation, so you only need one unit. Earning with the M2 Pro offers you multiple cryptocurrencies whilst HNT hotspot miners only offer helium cryptocurrency.

The price of the HNT Miner is much less than the M2 Pro at a cost of 250 euro or 350 usd for the HNT indoor miner or 450 usd for the HNT outdoor miner which primarily do the same thing, but the outdoor version offers waterproofing and a wider signal range. The down side of the HNT miner is that a single unit will only earn 20.25 usd per month, add another HNT Miner and the earnings dramatically increase to around 800.00 usd per month . However, with a single M2 Pro unit you will earn around 12.50 usd per day and this is with the coins mined at their lowest values.

Both products are great but the M2 Pro is not in my purchase bracket right now, but may be in a few weeks. It definitely has great potential for the internet of things (IOT) global smart city projects and earning cryptocurrenies as well. The HNT Miner is also a good product and afforable and the cryptocurrency is listed on Binance and can be easily exchanged for other crypto or fiat currencies.
